Architecture

My fascination with the elements of architecture has been a long-standing, if somewhat dormant appreciation - a rekindled passion that traces back to a youthful eighth-grade aspiration to become an architect. A dream quickly deterred by the rumored mathematical demands. Yet my eye has been drawn to the fundamental beauty of arches, the intriguing interplay of angles, and the structural elegance of buttresses. I find myself intrigued by the distinct aesthetics of different eras, from the ornate grandeur of Baroque and the refined elegance of Edwardian to the soaring drama of Gothic and the sleek modernity of Art Deco. I love French architecture - wrought-iron balconies, and vibrant hues like New Orleans. Spanish or Moorish Architecture - graceful arches, intricate gardens with fountains. And the simple and cozy feeling of an English Cottage. While this collection may never rival my others in volume, I intend to share those architectural moments that resonate deeply with me, hoping they might also speak also to others.
